There are several infrastructural development plans in Yamuna Expressway. Some of them include:
Jewar International Airport: The construction of Jewar International Airport is one of the major infrastructural development plans in Yamuna Expressway. It is expected to be the largest airport in India and will boost the economic growth of the region.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) Industrial Area: YEIDA is developing an industrial area along the Yamuna Expressway, which will attract industries and create employment opportunities in the region.
Yamuna Expressway Smart Cities: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has planned the development of smart cities along the Yamuna Expressway. These smart cities will have modern infrastructure, amenities, and sustainable development practices.
Yamuna Expressway Metro Extension: There are plans to extend the Delhi Metro's Blue Line from Greater Noida to Yamuna Expressway. This metro extension will provide better connectivity to the residents and commuters along the expressway.
Integrated Industrial Township: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is developing an integrated industrial township along the expressway. This township will have industrial, residential, commercial, and institutional zones, providing a holistic development approach.
Sports City: There are plans to develop a sports city along the Yamuna Expressway. This sports city will have world-class sports facilities, stadiums, training centers, and residential complexes for athletes.
Government of Uttar Pradesh had constituted the Taj Expressway Industrial Development Authority (TEA), dated 24th April 2001 under Uttar Pradesh Industrial Area Development Act 1976.
Approx. 334 villages of District Gautam Budh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mahamaya Nagar (Hathras), Mathura and Agra are Notified under Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority vide various Notifications of Government of Uttar Pradesh
The Yamuna Expressway Project is conceived with the idea to not only reduce the travel time between New Delhi & Agra. It’s also to open up avenue for Industrial & Urban development of the Region to provide the base of convergence for tourism and other allied industries
In the 3rd quarter of 2009, YEIDA launched its first Residential Scheme, allotting approximately 21,000 plots through a draw system in various sizes, with the majority being 300 square meters. The plots were originally allotted at a rate of Rs. 4750 per square meter and are now available for resale at premium prices, varying based on size and location. Recently, the Yamuna Authority has also allotted 300 square meter plots in Sector 18, Type-1.
